About.
I began in Porto, where my story first took shape. I studied film, learning to see the world through a different kind of lens, and later, I sought a deeper understanding of it all through philosophy.
For a few years, I worked in the theater, my camera a silent partner in the dramatic arts. My lens was always trained on the stage, but I also had my own projects, films I wrote and directed, like O Porto da Noite and Belo.
Then, I went out on my own. Since 2003, I've been a freelance photographer, living and traveling across Spain, France, and the UK, capturing portraits and chronicling lives. I find myself drawn to the performing arts, and for years now, I've been a photographer recording the moments that unfold on stage. It's a journey that began with film and continues with the quiet poetry of a still image.
